Bob; thank you for sharing lost history with us and thank you to Ernie Spitzer and family. I enjoyed watching this vid and will be pulling it up again and again! As Al said: could the Registry fund the conversion of the remainder 8 mm films to DVD? Posting them in this thread would be appreciated by all members. That will generate response from those who recognize racers, mechanics, cars and events as above.

I've now been inspired to have a few more digitized.
BTW here is a photograph of Mr. Spitzer with his award winning 300SL Gullwing at Hillsborough, CA in April 1966.
