Can someone please tell me if this is a European heater back plate?

Re: Rear Tin Plate
Yes it is. It has the two holes for the flex tube to the carb heaters.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Re: Rear Tin Plate
David, thanks for your reply. Since my engine has flapper boxes and not the fresh air heat exchangers, I hope I can still use this tin if I plug the two carb heat holes with some sort of plugs?

Yes, just put a couple plastic plugs in the two holes.

Re: Rear Tin Plate
People are always looking for Euro Heater parts. If you are inclined, you could probably run an ad and trade it for the correct (hole-less) sheet metal and get a little $$ in return. Two people (engines?) win.

Re: Rear Tin Plate
Thanks John, something to consider. This plate, along with the snout tube fan shroud, tube, and front base tin came on a spare 1964 engine I have. I found the original 1962 engine thanks to Walt Nolte, and am reinstalling it back in my car, but missing the rear plate tin.
