Happy 58th Birthday

#1 Post by Mark Reich »

According to the COA, today is my T5 Super Coupe's 58th birthday> I have owned the car for 17 years and it continues to thrill me. With the snow and salt on the roads the celebration will remain in the garage.

I hope you are all enjoying you cars as much as I am!

Happy Birthday to a great looking lady! Considering the weather, you can at least sit behind the wheel and toast her with your favorite beverage!

Well Mark, another solution is to move to So. Cal. I did in '99 and have enjoyed every minute. (Except the politics). …..Jim.

I’m here in Massachusetts. I actually enjoy the changing seasons so I’ll put up with winter. I’ll just pull out my Land Rover for now!

Thanks, George. I think the T5 finds a sweet spot in the evolutionary chain. I love the look and the performance on the road.

Great looking car. I also enjoy a T5 Coupe, and sunny weather here in Perth. Just wondering if it has been asked before, what the date on my C of A actually represents? Is it the date the Chassis was given its number? The date it left the factory to the dealer? Some other step in the production process? If anyone could satisfy my curiosity, it would be appreciated.

Marc, I do not know what the COA date truly represent, but I do consider the car's birthday. Maybe someone else can enlighten us!

James, Heron Grey is my obvious favorite. Send a pic of my twin!

Comparing the COA and Kardex of my car, the date on the COA corresponds to the build completion date.

I don't have the Kardex for my car, but that would make sense to me.

I would like to get the Kardex at some point, although my COA has a lot of information, apparently unlike earlier cars.

I've seen copies of the Kardex for earlier cars and most don't have a lot of info. Kind of a crap shoot on any additional info.
