tach seal- which way in?

Hi

The seal almost have the same design as a pully seal, which way does it go in the pump cover? if it should seal as the pully seal it must have the "backside" aganst the tach cable or? left seal seen from front, right as back side ala pully seal where you see the spring.

Then the thin spacer, then the cable assy.
