name of part?

#1 Post by Jim Beam »

Can someone tell me the name or part number of the rubber accordian-type seals or boot covers. About six inches long; small hole on one end and larger hole on the other; various uses such as boot cover seals for cables that exit out under the car at the rear firewall. Thanks.

Look for "Accordion boot" or "rubber bellows". Numerous generic sizes available at McMaster-Carr:

Where do you need it? There are at least three locations I am aware of: emergency brake cable up front, speedo and mechanical tach cables and accelerator rod aft of the tunnel. I believe there was also one on the clutch cable after the boden tube.
