Rocker Deco - info required

#1 Post by Terry Gaudet »

Hi there,

I will be installing my rocker deco mouldings on my 62 B cabrio. Was wondering how many clips/studs I need to properly do the job. The rockers on my car don't have holes in them as they were replaced many years ago during restoration. Also, does anyone have the distance/dimensions on where the mouldings are located? And lastly, any measurements on where the side chrome mouldings attach to the car. I know they use the door handle as a reference but I would love to get them spot on.

6 studs on my 63 coupe, centered vertically on rocker. Start at rear to make sure end of rocker base rubber kisses torsion tube hole.

Ron Roland provides the side molding hole spacing and locations on page 93 of his book "Restored by Hand."

Thanks Phil for the stud count. I will order them this week.

John, I have ordered Ron Roland's book. Looking forward to it. Thank you for the suggestion.

I have two sets of NOS deco trim and a set of bumper trim also that I would sell cheap if you can arrange pickup in Providence, RI. The decos are still in bags with part numbers...
