I am reinstalling the horn assemblies on 1965 356. In a past Registry article I seem to remember that it cautioned against tightening the multiple plate arm assembly between the horn and the body too tightly where it attached to the body, or the vibration needed for the horn would be suppressed???? I can't find the article in the archives and the magazine section has no reference for tuning and installing horns. Does anyone recall the article or if I am old and losing my mind?

Re: Installing horns-How tight?
I don't think having the brackets too tight interfers with the ability of the horns to honk as the spacers between the plates take up the torque.
