LED replacement light from Classico, where does relay go

#1 Post by robert e gwaltney »

hey guys, merry christms/happy holidays, i think Jeffrey may be out of country and/or swamped with holiday work, i recently received his led light replacement kit, truly plug and play and lights work great, except, i cant figure out where to plug in the relay he sent. my turn signals are bright but do not blink, i looked up under dash and under the hood but dont see a relay that this would replace. i have a 62B super with 6v system, thanks in advance for your help, robb gwaltney

Look under dash for turn signal flasher, replace with new one from jeffery, you will have to run a new wire to ground .

to me

no fix except to buy a flasher from Stoddard for $75, mine was free FYI/ You are correct, grounds through the dash filament and does not draw enough to glow.

Jeffrey freely admits that the relay he supplies won't actuate the dash indicator lamp. Buy an electronic one from Zim's and everything will work properly.

here is where I installed mine.. and it works well.
I used the fixing screw as attached to the ground wire.

Jim Franzen, the inventor/manufacturer of the widely used CuLayer LED brakelights told me that aside from getting the electronic flasher it was most important that the flasher have a external pigtail separate ground wire, and to not rely solely on the ground made through the flasher's male prongs.
