Non-Factory body work

We've seen some bad bodywork before, and I've heard of this method, though this is the first time I've seen it in action. Gaffer tape with bondo on top, classy!

That used to be the used-car-lot standard "fix".

Many years ago, before I discovered the 356 Registry, a guy at a flaky shop used pop rivets and seam sealer to install the new floor in my 64C.
It was a month before I jacked it up and realized I “got took.”
I then found a good shop and had it welded in properly.

we all look back on some of the horrible repairs done to cars, now that are worth a ton of money, and just shake our heads, that those butchers were even allowed to touch the cars
