Rudge Wheel Front brake drum/hub dust covers

#1 Post by Eric Lenius »

Is anyone aware of a source for the front brake drum/hub stamped dust covers for Rudge wheels?

Thanks!

Eric, do you have a picture of what they look like and how they fit the hub?

I'll take a picture. They could best be described as innies instead of outies.

I have reached out to Martin and to German Rudge Wheels. Any other suggestions?

So far, no source. Any other Rudge experts out there know how to find these?

Thanks Al! That is a great suggestion. I had not thought of asking David.

Eric, depends a bit on the gage of metal but would it not be possible to stamp some? Other options is to machine some form a billet

Eric,
Did you ever find a source for these? We played with my car yesterday and got the speedo working with the wrong dust cover, but it's probably temporary.

Can you post a list of who you've talked to, so I don't duplicate it.

Is there any chance a freeze plug could be used after drilling and filing the center hole? If not it’d be a simple project on a lathe to make one.
