Porsche Air Cooled Enthusiasts

#1 Post by marcsherriff »

Gday everyone,
Marc here from Perth. I am trying to capture more and more video to put together and share with all enthusiasts.
I have put together my latest video, which has only a short glimpse of a 356 in it, but I am sure will be appreciated by admirers of all classic cars.

I have just uploaded a new video I shot a few weeks ago at York Motor Museum, here in Western Australia.
I am trying to get more content up, for those interested, and am editing the footage from the weekend Concourse, which was a cracker of an event hosted by Porsche Club of WA. Great day out.
If you do like my videos, can you PLEASE like it, on Youtube, Subscribe to my channel, make a comment, and please share it around to those you think might be interested in seeing it.
The more views and subscriptions I get, the more I will be able to provide more content, or can justify more time to doing it, knowing it is being enjoyed.

Hi all,
Another video, whilst I am on a roll.
This is the content from the weekend just gone.
2018 Porsche Club of WA Concourse d’Elegance.
PLEASE subscribe, like, and comment.
I can see there are plenty of watchers, just no commenters!
I would really appreciate it.
I have no footage left for editing now, so will be on the hunt to capture some to get more content out there.
Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing your videos on what transpires down your way. The museum in Oxford faces similar challenges to what many small auto museums in the U.S. also do, and that is staying relevant, attracting new blood, keeping the doors open and the crowds coming. Very eclectic set of historic cars in that museum.

Your concours group of 356s is similar in size to what I see stateside at many Porsche events. A small but strong group of 356 enthusiasts. The 911s are overwhelming... KTF!

Very nice collection! I am big fan of Australian car culture, this is my daily:

Image
1963 356 S T6 Karmann Coupe (stock engine)
Front disc brake conversion
GDP Dual Exhaust
Momo Classic steering wheel
SMD headlights
CUlayer LED rear tails
Superleicht spec (aka missing V brace and copious amounts of Bondo)

Thanks Marc. Australia is far away I guess. Our 356 group recently visited the Bowden Family car collection in Queensland, probably the largest single collection of historic race cars in Australia. However, the names of the drivers - Hamilton, Moffatt, Geoghegan, Beechey, Lukey, Richards, Brock, Johnson (Jim Clark's car was there too) are all domestic, as winners of our national events. I posted elsewhere on this board some of their Porsche cars including a rare 68 911 T/R, but while I have plenty of still images, videos are limited due to insurance conditions relating to their collection.

Your objective is a good one however, and could be a good repository.

Also as you know, the recent video series "The Porsche Diaries" was expertly filmed all across Australia this year. It is on FB and has some amazing videos and interviews about 356's. The Finnish owner's 356 was driven around this vast country during his filming.

"Videos are limited due to insurance conditions relating to their collection" Can you expand on that?? As in, what ?

Erik, the Bowden's collection is a valuable private, an unlisted one and there are conditions imposed by their insurers on invited visitors re the use and distribution of videos of the collection.
