It's true, things are bigger in TX!

#1 Post by Adam Wright »

2000 miles later, I'm home. The trailer is full, the truck is full, my kind of trip. When we picked up the U-Haul Matt asked what size I got ordered, I said the biggest one they have. He wasn't sure we needed the bigger one. After filling it up at the first stop, we had 2-3 more stops on the way home, and had to re-configure the load 2-3 more times so everything would fit. Gas mileage on the way home was abysmal, but that's the price you pay for a big trip!
Sorry to some of you guys that I didn't make it to see on this trip. I got to see old friends and new, and it was really good to see my old friend Jim Watson. And no, I wasn't able to buy the Factory Cutaway Motor, but it was cool.
Glad to be home!

Tell us about the building (warehouse) with what looks like a lot of Porsche stuff inside? Are the cases new or used?

Maybe not just in the Lone Star State...some years ago, while driving my 356 C coupe in Manhattan, another car pulled alongside. The driver gave the thumbs up, then remarked, "I used to have one when I was in college...mine was bigger, though."

Hi Adam
Nice looking rescued Red A Coupe, what's the story on that. I could give it a good home!
Cheers Jay

I'll go into detail on the deal in one of my upcoming articles, it was a bunch of stops, here is everything after we unloaded the truck. The sorting fun begins....

Good thing I never met a wheel I didn't like, they will go nicely with all of their cousins. When you have a whole building dedicated to wheels, is that an obsession?

Only if you never sell any of them.

Luckily, like Mick Jagger, I got time on my side....
