It doesn't look like it goes on a VDM steering wheel, Steve. Maybe a L.L. or Derrington or ? but I haven't seen a padded horn button on a 356 application.

Googling "Porsche steering wheel horn button", it looks like it's for a Momo wheel.

The button is not padded. Its hard plastic as is the ring

I'm guessing a Momo based on the plastic clips, Steve. If anybody else can positively identify it, I'm sure they will weigh in and correct me.
