Where do these go if anywhere?

Hello, I thought I would post this on the main discussion as opposed to the Pre A section which hopefully will widen the chances of identification.

These 2 rubber bits were in the selection of many small unattached bits and pieces scattered around our '55 pre A when we got her all those years ago. I have managed to identify some of the bits but I have no idea what these 2 do or if they are anything to do with the car, or any 356, or any car at all, or were just thrown into KCT acting as a useful waste bin!

I can't find anything matching them from the various suppliers but the 'doughnut' thing rings a bell as something to do with the steering wheel but I just can't place it.

The 'tube' thingy was in a bag with a few miscellaneous electrical bits and the slightly flared end, photo 012, is a brass insert.

Thanks in advance,

V

The large round donut does look like it could be a steering column seal at the bulkhead. No clue on the other piece.

Is the tube "thingy" a headlight drain tube?

I don't think it's a headlight drain tube as the early ones were just a metal tube. The T-6's use a rubber tube.

The headlight drain tube is oval at the outlet and has a flange at the top. Not a part I ever remember seeing.

Hello, and thanks, Mike Smith who, with James and a few others on here are a fantastic help with the pre A's, says the doughnut is the front of the gearbox nose, this went in ages ago and looked a little different so no wonder it's gone out of my head, and the rubber tube goes over the Clutch Cable at the Gearbox end.
