Becker Radio Vibrator Replacement - Source?

#1 Post by Eric Lenius »

Working on the Becker Europa radio that came with the rudgemobile. It has the original Kaco C 602 p/6 vibrator. Which is acting up. Anyone have experience getting six pin solid state replacements? Antique Automobile Radio Inc. manufactures a 6 pin solid state vibrator replacement designated model BEC6-N. Anyone try this one? or have a better suggestion?

There is a company called Tube Depot that might be a source. There is also a repair shop I have used that is very good and reasonable that might have parts, Radio Man in San Diego, CA.

I called Becker Auto Sound. Unfortunately, they do not sell parts. I need to find a parts vendor.

Joris,

I'll have to get to work translating as my German is not very good. The vibrators in the picture for the ebay item have octal bases. The ones in the Becker radios have 6 pin bases. And, If my German is correct, the vendor indicates no shipping to the USA.....

Eric,

Just use the translate function in your browser if you are using Chrome. Will get you a long way down the road. Not sure about the bases as not all of them are shown. I would contact the seller. If he does not budge on the international shipping I am sure there might be a German member out there willing to help.

Good luck,

J.
