The Concour on the on the boardwalk was a blast! Apparently it also set a record of sorts, the longest Concour, at 1.17 miles long!

A fun weekend for sure. I even won a trophy!

Cliff, I usually like B coupes best, but had just been admiring how "right" your car looked to me. I want it!

Thanks Mark. I do wish that I was allowed to be in the concours. I was very disappointed.

Mark, tell us about your car and your trip. It sounds like you covered some quick miles to get to Simeone after work and on the trip home. That seems to be a testament to your wrenching abilities.

Cliff, you weren't allowed? How come? Your car is stunning - one of my favorites of the show.

I had originally listed our 63 coupe that we use for long distance driving as our WCH/ECH mount. The entry was made many months ago and apparently there was a box to be checked if you wanted actual judges to evaluate the car in addition to the "people's choice" judging. Our 63 is a good car but has 25k miles use in the past few years so I wasn't interested in having it judged. I changed my mind right before the ECH and decided to take the 59 sunroof since the drive was short and the car hadn't been to an ECH since 2014 Fontana Lake. Just prior to the show I asked why I didn't have the judged concours tag in my packet and only then did I learn that if you didn't check the box you didn't get the tag. Checking the box then would not have helped I later learned because there was no flexibility of any sort built into the event. Before the judging had started I asked a judge to please add my car and I was met with an emphatic, NO! A short time later an organizer was walking by and because I had doubts that I had gotten a reasonable answer the first time I asked that person. The answer was an equally emphatic, NO! I have to say that I was dumbfounded and that it put a damper on my ECH.
