hello, just stripped down my C engine (in my T5): it already had a 1720 kit, i have never had it running since importing it. i'm sure you've seen this before, but all cylinders had curved witness marks starting about an inch up from the bottom of the cylinder, ending about an inch and a half from the top, and about 20mm wide, so probably the wrist pin recess, and all 4 have the marks much more noticeable opposite the flat part of the fins, and, as expected, cyl 3 the worst, followed closely by 4; 1 & 2 hardly noticeable. Also, the ring land on no 3 piston broke away very easily, and no.3 (and , to a lesser extent, no. 4) had burnt markings. Both pics are of no.3. just thought they may be of interest.
Perhaps radiusing of the wrist pin recess would be a good idea, as well as bottom of skirt etc.
