I'm sure this is a topic that's come up before, so if someone could point me to one or more threads on how and where to install an electric fuel pump in a 356B, I would appreciate it. I'd like the electric pump to run only when the starter is engaged, so I also need info on how to hook it into the car's electrical system. Also any advice on where to buy such a "kit" with all the parts would be appreciated.
The engine's fuel pump seems to work fine, but I have to crank the engine for what seems like forever to get gas to the carbs when the car's been sitting for a week or so.

Here is an article on doing it. https://porsche356registry.org/article/78 The usual Suspects(Vendors) sell kits. https://www.stoddard.com/nla-108-005-02.html.html And another option : https://precisionmatters.biz/auto-prime-primer-kit.php Ron's solution which he recently introduced looks pretty cool and easy to install.

Thanks, Doug, but I see image on the web site is cut off. This shows the 'fill the carbs' position on top and the 'fill the reservoir' position on the bottom. I'll get the web site fixed.
Web site image fixed; thanks, web-guy. Still working on the Steering Coupler.Ron LaDow

Re: Electric fuel pump installation
For the last 2 1/2 years I have driven my 65 C coupe regularly, averaging once a week. But have the car sit for only 7 days usually meant cranking the starter 5-10 times to get it running. With a recent engine out top end rebuild I had the shop install the precision matters primer kit and it has made a world of difference. Only driven the car about a dozen times but now it will start on first 1-3 tries.
