Add an extra spark plug gasket.

That could expose a thread in the cylinder head spark plug hole which could lead to a hot spot and detonation while pulling those long straights at Le Mans.

It is better to use the plug that fits your engine.

Do it on the race engines every time.

No problem adding the 7mm braided fuel hose to 8mm steel lines as long as there aren't any sharp 'burrs' on the ends of the lines.
Also using a little Syl Glyde (not oil) for ease of insertion; Once on, I don't use/need clamps and just use hose end caps w/o crimping.

Bosch W6BC spark plugs have extended tips.

You don't race at Le Mans.

I just love spark plug makers. One has the smaller number as hotter, and another has the smaller number as colder!
Go figure.

Use surface gap plugs, they have no heat range.

I use 12mm plugs so I found a Champion surface gap plug that works. I wouldn't use a surface gap plug on a street engine. I don't think it has enough "range" for all the various street conditions. If you try one for street use let us know what happens. I suggest using a very strong ignition.

Many thanks CJ!
My engine is stock with the exception of the webers... soooo your answer placed this "try" ways low in the priority list...:)
