I am working on putting my C Coupe back together seat . I had hardware chromed and seats upholstered. I thought putting recliner mechanism would not be challenging using the various diagrams from parts book. Was I wrong, scale and detail is not user friendly. I am looking for some up close photos or detailed drawings. Also would appreciate and tips /lessons learned.

Hi Bob,

I found this article helpful when I disassembled and reassembled my C recliners. The instructions are for A recliners but ours are similar. Reassembly is the reverse.

I have a bunch of photos of my disassembly process so if that article isn't enough I can try to upload them for you.

Do you have the smooth sided C recliners (later) or the earlier ones with the visible rivet/pivot?
