horn and flasher inop.
cleaned connector on steering shaft. no help. will work occasionally in different positions of steering wheel. Jody Kraly

If you Google the topic, Ed Rutherford of Klasse 356 has reproduced a better rubber rebound gasket and recommends some minor modifications to the cup. He's done a few now with good results.

Looks like you are deep into the shaft, etc. but, when my blinkers went on the fritz, and after checking all wiring connections, rather than dismantle the wheel, I just stuck the wand of my can of CRC electronic cleaner into the signal mechanism on the wheel , squirted, flip the wand up and down, up and down, repeat 3 or 4 times. Success! signals. Might work with horn.
