Roadster engine bay colour

#1 Post by Dave Russell »

My 1960 Ruby Red Roadster is in for a repaint. Just trying to identify correct front compartment and engine bay colour for the car. Roadsters never came with black mat in the engine bay so would this be same as body colour?

I have always used semi-gloss Black Rustoleum. I have not see other colors, but I may be wrong. ……………..Jim.

Black is correct for the front & rear compartments; However, a couple of things aren't.
The rubber mat over the front compartment floor is missing(?) and the jack was previously disassembled
and reassembled backwards--the peg would be aimed toward the blue metal foot to the passenger side
(leaning onto the tire) and the rubber end-cap aimed to the driver's side
