Guys,
I would like to replace the aluminum dash trim below the padded area on my Speedster.
Can this be taken off and replaced without removing the windshield or ruining the padded pieces?
If so, what is the technique?
Thanks.

Dan,
If this is the inside bump-strip, I'm pretty sure it can. I think you have to R&R the 'eyebrow' over the gauges to do so.

Re: Speedster Dash Trim remove/replace
Ron is correct that the eyebrow piece that goes over the gauges must be removed (or at least loosened) to place the strip under it. What he didn't mention is that the gauges must be removed to access the small nuts that hold that piece in place. The padded strip can be left in place and a trimmed strip can be pushed up under it but to do it correctly and make sure that the metal strip doesn't ever come loose it should be removed. That way the bolts that hold the padded strip in place can be guided through the holes in the cardboard that the metal strip is attached to. Easy enough to do, the windshield is not disturbed. Excellent afternoon, two beer project, have fun and KTF
