Having sold my last Porsche, a 1956 SR coupe, it is time to clear out my
Porsche paper piles.
What do I behold, but the answer to a long-time question: (kind of...)
What is an outside mirror labeled "England" doing on my German car?
This ad from Autosport, June 16, 1967 answers part of the question.
But, was my (ex) car originally sold in England?

Re: Walpres Speedmirrors
It looks remarkably like a Talbot mirror but Walpres (Walsall Pressings Company Limited) is still in business and remains proud of those mirrors.
While I don't recall seeing any ads for Walpres mirrors or steering wheels back in the day there were lots of outfits importing sprts car things. It might even have come via J. C. Whitney.
