Guys,
I was in Belgium visiting my wife's family and a friend took me to a car show last Sunday in Schoten, Belgium. My friend drove us in his 1938 Bentley, an open roadster. Super-fun!
Beautiful grounds and great weather.
The featured marque was Maserati but there were at least two Porsches there. A 935 ex-Jacky Ickx racer and this 1956 356A Carrera coupe. And yes, it does have a four-cam.
I tried to speak with the owner but he was busy and when I came around later he was no where to be seen.
I think he owns a repair shop in Mortsel, Belgium. I stopped by there a few years ago and took a look at the 356's he had. Not sure that was the fellow though, but maybe our Belgian friends can confirm or deny.
Here's the car. Check out the license plate!

Re: Belgian Car Show
Hi Thibaut,
Thanks for the info. It seemed like a very nice car.
Too bad I didn't get a chance to talk with the owner.
Were you at the show too?
I thought it was interesting that each car had a sign describing it in English only, yet all of the announcements and other data was in Flemish. Not sure why they used English but I'm glad they did since my Flemish is not very good.
"Dank u wel" to the organizers for that.

Re: Belgian Car Show
Hello Roy,
De Haan is a beautiful village. My father-in-law had a vacation apartment in Middelkerke and we would take the tram up the coast past Oostende to visit De Haan and Knokke. (Not sure my spelling is correct!)
If we are in Belgium next year during that period I'll make a point of coming out and seeing the show.
Thanks for the tip!
