Retainer Springs for Brake Adjudting Wheels 1958 A Coupe
Guys,
Does anyone know where I can get the spring clips that attach to the brake backing plates for my 1958 A coupe? These clips prevent the 'star wheels' from rotating out of adjustment. Many years ago, when I was young and stupid (1971), I distorted them to get them out of the way because they bugged me when adjusting brakes. I don't know what I was thinking. My solution was to bend them back as well as possible and adjust the brakes more frequently.
I haven't seen any suppliers, even the brake shoe re-builders, list them in their catalogs. If available, I would like to get a complete set.
Thanks,
Sonny

Make sure you adjust only 1-tooth at a time so you won't distort the spring blade outa shape and stays in place!
