GDP exhaust

#1 Post by Lars Hvidsteen »

I have been looking at this nice twin pipe exhaust for my 356 B super http://www.gdp-shop.com/ I can se that the company is in Switzerland, but I have read here that the company was in Canada with owner Ken King?

Can anyone share good/bad info regarding this exhaust ( have read about super fitment , but that it sits to low?

thanks

Lars
The GDP website states that the Twin Tip is a replica of the original Sports Exhaust. I believe that the original 'Sports' Exhaust for the 356 was found to have a lower power output than the Stock Exhaust! It also stated that the 'Sports' Exhaust were fitted to the Super !
Were they?

The GDP has inlet pipes like an Abarth, longer for the rear cylinders, which I believe is unlike the so-called sports exhaust. I don't know if is better or worse.

I installed a M&K earlier this year and it fit with little persuasion. Easy to do if you have a lift. Lighter than the original and produces the same sound.
