door opening bowden rod

#1 Post by Bill Romano »

to install the Bowden rod, catalog calls for Keiper 28.2405 Pos.4) elastic washer see illustration 6/3-16 part number 644.531.581.91 and
Keiper 58 1985.5 washer illustration 6/3-22 part number 644.531.582.01

Stoddard catalog doesn't have anything.

Does anyone have one of these things to offer or can someone provide a description that might permit finding alternatives?

I would suggest a fiber or nylon washer on the side near the latch and a regular flat but thin washer near the cotter pin.

Bill, as you point out, Keiper supplied those parts to Reutter/Porsche. Except for actual examination of original parts, there is no way to find out specs for those washers. At the time most likely Keiper supplied those parts with latches to Reutter.
