1964 356SC European Style Front License Plate Attachment
Any suggestions on how to attach/mount a European style license plate on the front of my 1964 356SC ? It came with a bracket but I was hoping I didn't have to drill the bumper. Tie wrapping would look cheesy but drilling holes may be the only way.

Here is how Eric in Ireland did it using the factory front bumper drainage holes: http://forum.porsche356registry.org/vie ... ront+plate

I made the bracket over the weekend and have now fitted it to the bumper using the original 2 drainage holes.
There appears to be a further 2 holes under my bumper also.
As suggested I used aluminum, 8 inches long, 20mm x 40mm.
I used small rubber washers between the bracket and the bumper.

Ashley,
I did consider the option of placing the plate in the location you show, however in a smaller scale.
I just couldn't bring myself too it, I decided to hide it away under the bumper.

I had a similar sticky plastic one on an MX5 placed in a similar location
It did look good and no holes required.

John; this was originally in Forum Questions. I suggested he move it to here. Seems to have worked. Thank you for noticing.
