Driving Video: '64 SC leaving So Cal 356 Concours 2018

#1 Post by Daryl Bertram »

My son made a video driving out of the So Cal 356 Club's Concours last month and posted it on his YouTube channel "TwistyHooked."

https://youtu.be/-tJ0TGphono Copy & paste this link if it doesn't click.

Or if you prefer; search on youtube.com or google.com, "TwistyHooked."

I had piggybacked another member's walkabout video of the event in the Forum previously but I think Derek's also deserves it's own lead. The camera angles and use of only the SC motor as audio makes for an interesting video. Derek has been a 356 enthusiast since witnessing the SC's carbs on fire as a 3 year old (Hotta!).

Hi Daryl
Sounds like you could be in for another fire with all that spitting!
And why do you people wear your socks like that? No offence!

Engine sounds good Daryl, Is that a stock exhaust?
Nice video in some stunning scenery and great roads. The gears in your car sound very high geared with nice spacing for high speed cruising as well as good low down pick up. Be interested in what set they are. Where is that venue? golf course? Very pretty.
Cheers Jay

Thanks John. The venue this year was a golf course; nice backdrop for our cars. Stock exhaust and gearing on the SC and stock socks on the guy behind the car before startup. :-) Yeah those original Solex carbs take a bit of warming up before they stop sputtering...
