Alex,

912 heads have the extra hole(s) for the small vent hose on the oil filler/breather while the large hose feeds the right air filter, and the left head's hole would be plugged. Your non-holed heads are 356, but the right head can be drilled for the parts listed/required for the small hose connection.

If you don't want to connect the large hose to the air filter, just vent the fumes downward like the early engines and plug the air filter's entry.

Mine is 1 quart and was natural aluminum that I had powder coated once I had it modified to my liking. As long as you can easily drain it and the hoses can be attached it doesn't matter what you use. Your engine sure does have a lot of "stuff" bolted to it so I don't know where you are going to mount it but I would mount it fairly high where there will be no syphon effect.

What did John Willhoit tell you to do?

For what it's worth my WR2002 dual plug engine is vented to the right wheel well.
At 30000 miles it has hardly made a vapor stain.
It hasn't used any oil except for a minor valve cover gasket malfunction.

Hi,

Thomas Nilsson, Sweden. I have the same problem with my new 1883 cc engine, oil ventilating out. I have also fount the KrankVent and I would like to try it together with a catch tank.

Alex, I am grateful if you can post some photos of your installation, if ready.

BR, Thomas

Alex, thanks for the info. I agree, the KrankVent can do no harm so I will try that too. Mine is a 1883, but I too like to drive hard so this set-up should handle any oil mist venting out.
Looking forward to some pics of your installation.
