Identifying squeaking sound
My 356 b t5 super 9p has developed a ‘rotational’ squeaking noise in the rear.
It sounds like an old sofa at very slow speeds, the sound speeds up as I drive faster and only happens when accelerating. It also seems less when making a right hand curved bend.
There is nothing visibly loose, wrong, broken or mis-alligned.
Attached is a short video link of the sound.

Any ideas what it could be?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Identifying squeaking sound
Could be a lot of things, Andre. Just off the top of my head (and to start getting feedback to your question) Torsion bar bushings, something scraping the right rear wheel, a dragging brake shoe, misadjusted emergency brake, loose axle nut or bearing going bad, something in/on the transaxle.
I listened to your video but didn't hear any squeaking. Blame it on old ears...

Re: Identifying squeaking sound
I'd guess a brake drum rubbing on a backing plate due to a loose wheel bearing or something, but it could be the squealing generator belt that Greg suggests as well. Clever use of YouTube to share the sound file.
Good luck figuring it out.

My ears are bad also and it took me a while before I heard it. The sound to me is like metal against metal. Like the brake pad rivets against the drum lining. Not sure why that would happen on acceleration? Is one side louder than the other? Have you removed the drums to see if there is something loose in there?

Re: Identifying squeaking sound
years ago, I had a noise in left front wheel on my speedster. Pulled drum along interstate & it turned out to be a broken shoe return spring. I used the seat adjust spring on it and got car home. I replaced all springs on all 4 drums after that. Tom

Thanks everyone for the advise and areas to consider. I am afraid of solution's by elimination and a huge parts bill.

I agree with Greg, it's a loose drum on the left rear due to compressed shim or reversed outer washer.champher out insted of in.
Disregard the washer though if yours has the nut/washer combined.

Update -
Rear hubs to splines not greased and hub nuts loose. My now ‘former’ mechanic did a half job
Found a good new guy who used the right torque wrench to tighten to the right setting.... drives super smooth now!
Thanks again for the help.
