Key Fob - 356 or 911?

#1 Post by David Green »

A friend gave me this and thinks he got it at the time he bought a new '59 Convertible D but he also bought a new 1978 Turbo. It's very soft leather with the Porsche logo embossed on one side. Any ideas what it's from?
Thanks,
David
Edit: those are my '53 keys

that was a late 60s early 70s key pouch. the logo moved to the lower right corner by the mid 1970s. there were a few different liners available. black, blue, red and some were just unlined too I believe.

Thanks all for the feedback and Jules this one is unlined. It's a nice gift from a good friend and will use it with one of my cars.

I recall seeing some high prices for those, maybe $ 1,000 or near that. Less than the earlier 356 key fob but enough to get your attention. Orange Bar Products made a reproduction at one point which may have affected prices, but you might not want to make it your "everyday" key fob.

I wish I'd bought more in the late '90s for $ 20.

they generally go between $150 and $250, never seen one near $1k but one can ask whatever one pleases.

My same friend is sending me this one. Any ideas on what it is and from when?
It's possible it is just something he picked up at a gas station checkout back in the day.
