Changing exhaust, should I replace the heat exchangers also?

So picked up a GDP exhaust twin tip,

more for a under car visual upgrade as the original exhaust has seen better days from a cosmetic standpoint (still functional).

I also don't care for the exhaust through the bumper guard look and the damage it causes, so I will be replacing the aging rear guards (with front ones). The heat exchanger pipe looks original a bit of surface rust but intact. clamps look rusty probably will replace those.

Am I doing the car a disservice by leaving the heat exchangers on if they still appear functional?

as long as you have the small flapper-style heat exchangers and not the european style you can leave them on so you still have heat in case of need.
