What's Missing?

#1 Post by John Clarke »

Hi all
Anyone know what type of plate is missing from our 1961 T5B RHD Coupe. Chassis Number 115030?
This is in the hood in front of the gas tank near the battery. There are just 2 holes as if there was a plate or plaque attached
Cheers Jay

Ron wins that quiz.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Not "ball"; metal loop like the luggage strap holders.

Put your glasses on Vic. Bail not ball.

No worries.
I now have a selection of what my wife calls "peeps", depending on what's being viewed. Hitting .002" centering on the lathe or mill take some serious lenses.

In the middle of the night, I've killed the same knot in the siding in the cabin's bathroom numerous times. Never turns out to be the moth I thought I was getting.

Now my age-related macular degeneration has robbed me of my central vision in the left eye. Not only having to learn to shoot right handed, but my close-in depth perception is really off.

Take care of your vision folks.

My problem is hearing what is being said. It is extremely annoying when I hear someone talking but the words do not compute. I am OK on the phone and I wear headphones watching TV but unless I have context I can sometimes have no clue what is being said. Drives my wife mad I may add.
On the plus side until 20 years ago I could not read the PC screen without glasses but since 2001 just after I was diagnosed with diabetes my eyesight has improved to 20/10 and 20/30 but my hair is slowly falling out. I think I am getting weirdly old.
Now on to the next 356 issue.

Senior Citizens. It's all going off topic again with everyone discussing their various senile / dementia conditions ! Being nearly 69 I have a lot of sympathy with the ageing process, but !
Anyone got an under hood photo of a 61?
Many thanks Jay

This could be slightly off-putting to the few young guys here, too.

John, I have a couple of those bails if you need one for cost of postage. They look like but are not the same as the chrome luggage bails.

Many thanks for Tom's kind offer. It's on its way! What an amazing place our 356 Registry is.
Cheers Jay.
