Best body Shop

#1 Post by Ken Lubke »

I finally got caught in modern society by texting driver and was rear ended at a stop light.

My question is, who of our group, do I get to do repairs. I live in the Midwest and delivering is not an issue.

Pics to follow

John,
Are you being intentionally obtuse?

He may be obtuse, but I think he was just poking fun at the situation.

https://www.lamettrys.com/minneapolis-s ... body-shop/ But I doubt they have much 356 experience. Ron Roland had a shop in the Detroit area. Sebastian Gaeta would know if he still does.

I thought my joke was funny. My apologies to those with absolutely no sense of humor at all.

J-3 restorations in Tennessee , Bill Kemper @Panelwerks in Mentor,Ohio There are also 2 brothers in Iowa I think. Sorry can't remember the name. Richard Sjolund would know and he is from Iowa. I checked with Richard Stalltek in Wellman, Iowa Neil and Lee Schlabaugh stalltek@yahoo.com 319-646-2885
So much closer to you than many shops with 356 experience and Richard swears by them.

My 64 C is at present with Rich Ewald down at J3 restorations. PM me and we can talk.

By the way John Lindstrom, Ken was hit by a texting driver. He was not texting. Reading comprehension is a learned skill as is a directed sense of humor.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

If the whole US is your oyster, Willhoit in Long Beach, CA or Paterek in NJ. Bruce Baker in PA, but he may be winding down his business. Road Scholars is topnotch, but they may only do full restorations.

Don't forget Jim East auto body in Orange California Edwin. I once had a PPI done on a C coupe done by them and body was described as beautiful by the two well known people who did the PPI.

I forgot to mention Mark Schlacter at Metalkraft in Cinicinatti. https://www.metalkraftcoachwerkes.com
Mark does excellent work as well and has won numerous awards. His shop is closely affiliated with Porsche of the Village in Mariemont.
I chose to send my car to J3 because J3 has a Celette jig and Mark does not.
