Hi, have you contacted Bruce or anyone at Stoddard's? It would be interesting to read their response (I don't have their wheels on my cars BTW).

Per usually monitors this site but a phone call to Stoddard would be my first action.

Mine are 2 yrs old, in dry storage and already rusting. Stoddards was bought out by some folks from China apparently.

The set I installed on my SC is still perfect, purchased about eight years ago, but could have been the original Stoddard rechrome, cannot remember

I took it more that Neil was either surprised
, not that he didn't understand, or questioning the reference to being bought out by a Chinese group.
I was surprised when I read the post too; in a garage, stored under dry conditions yet still showing signs of rust? Was there perhaps a faulty batch? As far as being bought out by a group of Chinese, I can't comment - haven't heard anything regarding this, but that doesn't mean that it may/may not have happened, just that it is news to me.

Methinks John was being facetious equating perhaps poor quality with a product made offshore. I seriously doubt Bruce would sell Stoddard and also have doubts the rims are sourced offshore. Perhaps just a bad batch. Let's see if Per will weigh in.

My apologies, I have been out of the office for a few days. I'll talk to Bruce and see if he saw this---
Our rims (since we started remanufacturing them about 5 years ago) have all been made here in the USA.

Maybe they don't triple chrome. Looks like the typical cheap Brazilian or. Chinese chrome work.
