No idea, but is it a fuel pump? Inlet and outlets? I only see one hose in the picture.

I wondered about an antenna lifter but the hose is flexible and has a fitting like a compression fitting nut on the end. I shall take more pictures of it and the hose end. Maybe I should remove the access panel. I was really hoping someone would recognize what it was.

Is it a vacuum pump for power door locks? It has DIN wire colors, so you should be able to power it up.

It only has a single hose? I thought air pump for a fish tank, but not likely for it to be 6V in that case.

The item is apparently an electric antenna motor which is missing the vital antenna part. If someone needs it I am open to offers and I shall put it on the classifieds once I ascertain the operation or not of the motor.
Thanks Ken.

It is the motor for an electric antenna. These were made by Hirschmann but I have heard rumors about Bosch relabelling some of their products.now we have proof.

I now see a Hirschmann logo on the side of the unit -- here's David's photo enhanced to bring out the Hirschmann logo.

Most probably it was Tony, I must have been on my way to Keeneland for the concours. I left late because I was not sure what the weather was going to do. What were you doing in Harrodsburg? Kind of out of the way for a drive to Louisville.
