Goodwood Festival of Speed sculpture with early 356
Here at Glorious Goodwood FOS is noted an early Pre A on the famous sculpture in the front lawn of Lord March’s home. Great stuff !! Porsche #1 is here as well othe famous Porsche’s as part of 70th anniversary celebration !!

They have used real cars in the past, might not just be sculptures, couldn’t make it this year.

These are real cars, minus fluid, of course. Sort of a tradition at Goodwood FOS. I have other nice 356 pics but my files are too big for this forum. I do not know how these even uploaded. The 356 on the sculpture has red interior with black steering wheel (!!??).

Those can not be real life size cars. If so then the flag on the pole next to them would be the size of a football field.

Sorry, but the flagpole is in front of a grandstand in which I was seated. The track and then along way to Lord March’s front lawn is between the pole and sculpture. Just an optical illusion of sorts I guess. The sculpture is massive with huge guy wires helping to hold in place. I have all sorts of pics showing this but files too large.

A couple of prior years' sculpture (for some reason I was always taking the car pictures and not the sculpture:
last year:
2012 :
mmm...I think 2005, land speed record cars
It's really an event that has to be put on the to-do list, I started going in 1996, and .... it's just spectacular in person.
