When removing and reinstalling the third piece, should all of the seals be replaced, even if the engine was rebuilt within 10-15K miles? That would include the various oil seals, generator stand gasket and case gasket, fuel pump and distributor-ring. What about the pulley end oil seal?

TIA

Gordon,
You should be able to tell if any of the elastic seals have taken a set from heat, but I'd replace any paper gaskets, since they 'take a set' the first time you fasten them in place.

Good insurance against having to do the job twice. Replace them. They are CHEAP!
