He may have had the only place where you could buy Porsche parts and ice-cream! Wonderful visits there! He'll be missed.

Re: RIP Stephen Demosthenes
I missed this, and just found out. Very sad, he was a good guy. I met him just before he moved to the Gorge back in 1985(?). Route 30 was a good place to stop and see what was going on, and it was always good conversation as well. I considered him a friend, and spoke to him in mid-March, and knew it was pretty rough but didn't think it was going this quickly. RIP my friend...

Re: RIP Stephen Demosthenes
Hello,
I reply to this message because unfortunately the man is no longer there and can no longer contact him. Past month I bought a 1955 pre a with the missing engine. A previous owner told me that Stephens had bought motor 35176 from another former owner. I suppose he still had it or sold it and i think it should be somewhere around.
Maybe someone knows him well and know where is the engine ore point me in a direction for further research...
many thanks!
Thibaut

Stephen owned my 55 Cab race car a long time before I did and he went out of his way to contact me and to send me old pictures of the car. He would email me from time to time just to ask how things were. He was a very nice guy. Heaven got one of our best.
