These are measurements from 1956 Vin82336. front fender highest point to bottom of spear 2in . Back fender highest point to bottom of spear 4 1/4 in.
if you are a metric guy 50.5mm front 100.5mm back.

Using Mikes measurements, connect the dots through the center of the door handles. The spears should line up with the center of the door handles. I have seen a few restorations where the spears end up on the lower portion of the door handle and it doesn't look right.
