Looking for '58 Speedster

#1 Post by Peter M. Zimmermann »

Many years ago, about 45 to be close, I owned chassis # 84811. Do any of you 356ers out there own my old car, or know where it might be? I was told that not long after I sold the car, I think it was in 1973, the new owner had it painted green (originally it was white, very clean, and rust-free at the time of sale). I was then told that the car was wrapped around a tree, or pole; so I wonder if those stories were true, or if the little car still exists. The car was pretty fast, and was fitted with an S 90 engine and later transmission, and 5.5" chrome wheels. Just curious...

...and, yes, it had Rudge knock-offs!! Original Speedster seats were in very good condition, and original full bumpers with over riders were wrapped and stored in the garage rafters.
