A friend of my fathers heard that I liked old Porsches, so he gave my dad these coveralls. They have never been worn. Supposedly, he always wanted a Porsche, so he bought these from the dealer in 1962. He never got the Porsche, so he never used the suit. He is now in his late 70's.
Is this something the dealer would have sold in the early 60"s? Anyone in the forum familiar with these?
Thanks!

Re: 1960's Porsche Coveralls
I worked as a mechanic at a VW/Porsche dealership from 1967 through 1971. They did give us similar coveralls to wear. To the best of my knowledge they came from a uniform company and were not for sale. The idea was to differentiate Porsche mechanics from mere VW mechanics. The coveralls replaced shirts and pants and took some getting used to. They hung from the shoulders and they were a little uncomfortable at first.

I also worked at a dealership from 68-73. Our uniforms were also supplied by a uniform company, not from VW or Porsche.
