Stoddard lists the 2-types of front wheel bearings for the A/B spindles; 25mm inners are likely VW version, but later
356 spindles were enlarged to 30mm inners. (roller only) The outer bearings (ball or roller) were practically the same
Stoddard also listed an inner 25mm roller bearing if not converting to the later 30mm spindles.

David P. from the UK said his car is a 356B, so unless his car has be retrofitted with early Porsche spindles, then ..... Forget trying to find VW parts to fit, just buy the Porsche numbers I listed and get the job done.

My apology for being so short on what seemed to be a simple question about the bearings. Here's and expanded description of roller bearings for the "late" drum brake spindle:

Outer -- 900-059-002-00 bearing marked 30304 20 x 52 VW nr. 111-405-647
Inner -- 900-059-001 00 bearing marked 30206 30 x 62 no VW but various older Japanese cars

You can see the outer bearing is the same as a common VW and you'll find various prices from $8 to over $30, depending on brand and country of manufacture. However, for the inner bearing you will have to hunt around to find those.
