That car has lived a hard life and has not been "correct/original" since they sold it in '49 or '50. If you look at period pictures when the factory had it, it hasn't been the same ever since the first private owner who removed the bumpers and painted it yellow. Subsequent owners, including Porsche, installed different seats, gauges, mirror etc. without any regard to what it looked like originally. Heck, it even has a Porsche crest horn button even though the crest didn't exist when the car was built. This must be its 5th "restoration".
It started out life as a pitch to VW for royalty money, so while it is a great piece of Porsche history it really had very little in common with the real cars starting with the 356/2. That's why the Gmund built cars look nothing like it.
