My Kardex states the color on my 55 speedster to be 5929 weiß?
I have not been able to find the paint color number online, however it is believed to be "white".
The interior is Kunstl. Schwarz?
1955 paint color 5929 weiß?

Re: 1955 paint color 5929 weiß?
Weiss does mean white in German. Kunstleder schwarz means black vinyl.
I thought the first two digits of the paint code were the year the color was introduced. (At least in the later years.) So for example, 6202 means ruby red (02) in 1962.
If that same coding was used in 1955, could it be that the Kardex really says 5529?

In 1955 you could get your Speedster in three colors - Signalrot (Signal red), Blau (Blue) or Weiss (White). The paints were the new Kunstharz (enamel) type and were provided to Reutter by Bonaval. Reutter's paint color number was R 603. Bonaval's internal number was 6B/1202.
I'm not sure what the number "5929" is on your Kardex. Got an image of it?
If you're going to repaint it today, you can get a spray-out card of a very close match to the original color from John Willhoit.
If your painter is planning on using Glasurit paint to repaint your car, Glasurit keeps a database of recent matches using their various solvent- and water-based paint systems that painters around the world have used to match that color. There is a Glasurit 22 Line match in their database for Speedster white. But of course the match will only be as good as the painter who recently did the match. Glasurit themselves have no way of having quality control on whether the color in their database is correct or not. You can do a search on their online tool to pull up the mix.

Perhaps someone else here has a good mix that they've matched themselves to original paint on their car and can vouch for.

Tom, in your first post you wrote 5929. Are you revising or confirming that?

Might be the serial number of the original warranty coupon booklet (KD-Heft Nr.) - - that box directly below the paint color on the kardex form. What is the chassis number of your Speedster?
