Happy 60TH Birthday today for #84832.

#1 Post by Steve Raucher »

Born this day. Known history since new. I can confidently say this '58 Speedster has had very little down time through out it's life. Been a driver the whole time. This year the rear flares will finally go after 44 years, last but not least at some point likely to go back to original Ruby red. Original 644 gearbox lasted 57 years.
When driven it is like a race car for the streets, so much of a blast to hit the twisty's up in the mountains.
I feel blessed to have grown up in Los Angeles around the car culture and the bonds I had with my father, the people I've met, places I've seen and experiences I've had surrounding motorsports.
Pictures show car in Ruby red, rare Tangerine orange just before it came into my family, and the early '70's Mercedes Blue it has worn since it's theft in 1974. Supposedly at one point briefly it was even yellow color yuk.
KTF,
Steve
