Interesting Turn Signal Problem

I recently switched all my turn signals on my 356B to 6V LED bulbs. To get them to flash properly I added an all-electronic blinker module. The signals, original lever switch, and blinker module work great; the turn signals blink nice and bright when asked to! One problem: The little left/right indicator light on the dash blinks continuously, both when I signal left or right, AND when I don't. Lights work fine but the continuously blinking double-arrow is kind of distracting and of course doesn't tell me anymore when I've forgotten and left my turn signals on. Anybody know why or have any suggestions on how to get it to blink only when it should?

Paul, I have to think that there is an error in the way it is wired. Do you have a copy of the wiring instructions/diagram. Somehow the flasher unit must be seeing a power supply with the switch in neutral.

this may help you.
I had a similar issue, i found it to be broken internals to the switch..

Paul, I have found that not all electronic "blinker" modules are equal. I had a similar problem and was advised to replace with a blinker that has an external ground wire. That solved my problem. Check with Zim's as one source.

I had exactly this same problem, and, as Jeffrey says above, an electronic blinker with a ground fixed the problem.
