Good story Mark. Shows how difficult it is give broad general advice on this kind of stuff. I actually do have a set of Konis on Speedy, came with car, and nice to be able to give them a click to make up for some wear. My basic thought on street 356 handling is that shocks are not nearly as important as tires, and that can be a very individual feeling because of the different roads and driving styles we all have.

We certainly need to be careful in the spring here in Michigan. Some pretty deep potholes.

Hi Edwin,
I have the factory original rear shocks from my 1960 Roadster plus a front pair I got a couple years ago. They are adjustable. These are all stamped "Porsche" with "Koni" stamped underneath. All are date stamped 2/60 which is in line with my car's 3/23/60 "birthday." As soon as the current Boges start to show signs of giving up the Konis will be rebuilt and reunited (well, the rears anyway) with the car.

I'm about to replace shocks on the A coupe. Being in the Antipodes, freight is expensive from USA.
Are VW Beetle shocks the same? I think mine runs beetle type shocks on the front at least.
I can buy Sachs here quite reasonably. But are they the same size?

Greg
